Welcome to the DHS Retrospective Review of Regulations

Please share your ideas on how the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) can best reduce the regulatory burden of its existing regulations.

• DHS is conducting a review to determine whether we should modify, streamline, expand, or repeal any regulations.

• Our goal is to make our regulatory program more effective or less burdensome, while still achieving regulatory objectives.

• On Monday, March 14, 2011, DHS will publish a notice, Reducing Regulatory Burden; Retrospective Review under Executive Order 13563 (PDF), in the Federal Register, seeking input from the public. Comments are due by Wednesday, April 13, 2011.

• This notice is DHS’s first step in implementing Executive Order 13563, which the President issued on Jan 18, 2011.
